Alright, this is super long overdue. I did eventually baked for Chinese New Year. Nothing fancy, nothing weird, nothing shocking just my usual Pineapple tarts :)
I guess I did improves when it comes to molding the tarts but on the other hand, I need to be more well organised. I was panicking in the kitchen - For fear that my Baby Kwok will cry anytime! Also, I'm just too lazy to cook Pineapple jam which I even proudly told Prince Charming that I'll make my own Pineapple Jam this year. Ptttffff.... I shouldn't have brag it too early.
Nevertheless, pretty proud of my little tarts and my friends commented they were nicers than the usual ones I baked previously! Why? Because I decided to switch to a new recipe and adopted Little Teochew's recipe :)
Happy Munching!

Psss... I wanted to use my signature on my picture but guess what, my macbook ran out of space! I can't even save my works after editing them! Grrrrrrrrrrr... I need a new laptop!! Maybe a Macbook Pro?

Cola Ribs and Carmalized Wings
This is definitely one long overdue post! I made these ribs and wings almost 2 weeks ago but only had time to upload them now to Blogger. Pssst.. I'm quite active and prompt in Facebook though :P
Anyway, Prince Charming was moaning yearning for Ribs! Yes, he was literally begging me everyday to do a dish on ribs for him but I never had the time because he wanted those Barbecue kind which I have no confident in doing it since they won't taste the same if I were to bake the ribs in the oven comparing to the hot barbecued kinds. Finally he decided to lower his standards to just any kind of ribs as long as they are prime ribs!
Okay so on our usual weekend grocery shopping at Cold Storage, we bought 300g worth of prime ribs for my first attempt to do a ribs dish. I was intending to adapt a recipe for Caramelized wings by 小米桶 and I thought, why don't I just marinate them together and see what I can do later! Anyway, both dish came out pretty decent except that the wings had those "chicken" smell which I deem must be due to it being a frozen one. I never had problems with fresh wings!

This was taken almost 1hr after I've finished cooking them because someone was just too addicted to his GT5 game that he "delayed" our usual dinner time and yes, he was too engrossed that he totally forgotten all about taking pictures for me! Grrrrr.... Guess it's time I asked him to buy a camera for me! Maybe a Olympus EP2

To-do list 2011
Was browsing through my previous entries (especially those before pregnancy), I was telling myself " Hey Mrs Kwok, stop finding excuses to escape from your kitchen!" I think it's really time I settle down, do some time management so that I can juggle between work, home and kitchen.
Gordon Ramsay's Shepherd Pie- Mini Burgers & Sliders
- Shrimp Fra Diavolo
- Creamy Chicken and Mushroom Pie with Puff Pastry
- Raisin Loaf

Resolution 2011
Been asked by a few acquaintances about my resolution in 2011. Was kind of feeling weird because like I said, they were acquaintances so I don't feel that they will know much about me, so I told them "Nah, I don't have one" :x
Not trying to be rude but I've tried revealing my 2010 resolution to 2 of them last year when asked about it and ended up getting question mark faces, because like I said, they were just acquaintances and thus, do not know me very well!
On the other hand, I am absolutely happy to "announce" my 2011 resolution since I believe those who have been following my blog will know me well enough ;)
- Would like to go on a family trip with Prince Charming and Baby Kwok to Disneyland! Japan or HongKong? I bet Prince Charming will go for Japan!
Why: Have not traveled for more than a year!!! Desperately need an overseas holiday! - Make more initiatives to beautify my house and keeping it sparking clean!
Why: I'm one who likes to change "pattern" for my loft. If you follows my blog, you should be able to grasp a hint or two from my postings. Oh! Sparkling clean cause need to create a fresh and clean environment for my little boy :D - Learn to appreciate my family more especially Prince Charming ;)
Why: I believe mummies will agree with me that after being a mum, things changed. I don't mean relationship between husband and wife but more of like referring to moods. It seems that my focus is all on Baby Kwok and I tend to throw tantrums at him even with little matters. Though most of the time he understands but still, I have a heart of guilt for raising my voice at him occasionally :P - Create some healthy baby food for Baby Kwok!
Why: I'm so worried that he'll get sick of porridge. It's always either pumpkin, spinach or broccoli with threadfin/pork. I need to be creative to create special and healthy meal for my darling! - Continue my breastfeeding journey till Baby Kwok turns 1 year old before I fully introduced him to Formula milk!
Why: Breast milk is the best that a mom can give to her child. I want my child to enjoy the good quality milk :) Not that Formula milk is no good but well, you know ;) - Spent more time with my Kitchen~~~
Why: Ever since pregnancy starts, I have not been utilizing my kitchen in terms of cooking or baking. When I looked through my past postings, I miss the joy I had when I bake/cook for my love ones. I really need to get the regime back!
